About NAPC 2027

NAPC 2027 marks the sixth edition of the National Aerospace Propulsion Conference, a flagship biennial event themed 'Advancements in Propulsion Systems for Next-Gen Aerospace Vehicles'. This prestigious gathering brings together scientists, engineers, and researchers from defence laboratories, space agencies, academia, and industry to explore cutting-edge innovations in sustainable, high-performance propulsion.

The conference covers a broad spectrum of propulsion technologies — from gas turbines and ramjets for aircraft and missiles, to liquid, solid, and hybrid rockets for space launch vehicles, to emerging concepts such as electric propulsion, distributed propulsion for eVTOLs, and AI-driven combustion diagnostics. NAPC 2027 is hosted by the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, IIT Hyderabad, under the auspices of the National Council for Air Breathing Engines (NCABE), in collaboration with DRDO and ISRO.
